Well Hello!!!​

My name is Donna and I like Wildlife and Gin....
Bit basic? Okay...
I live in a wee place called Second Coast in Wester Ross... No, not the Game of Thrones one... that is Westeros, my Wester Ross is on the North West Coast of Scotland... One of the most beautiful and wildlife rich places in the UK!

I studied Ecology and Environmental Management at university and now manage Gairloch Marine Wildlife  Centre and Cruises in Gairloch. 
I spend a lot of my free time watching and photographing landscapes and wildlife on land and my job means I get to encounter some amazing marine wildlife from Whales, Dolphins and Porpoises to Basking Sharks, Seals, White-tailed Eagles and everything in-between!

During the Covid-19 lockdown in 2020, as we weren't allowed to work... or even leave home, I spent much of my time sat in the garden watching and photographing the birds and drinking gin... and that is when my journey of discovery into the world of gin, and more specifically, small batch, craft gins from small distillers and producers. After a few months of sharing on my Facebook page I joined the wonderful world of Instagram and began sharing my gin and wildlife adventures on there, which eventually led to my taking of 'Bottle Shots' out in the fabulous landscape of Wester Ross.
